Spectrum KU

Spectrum KU is KU's largest and longest running LGBTQIA+ and ally student group. For over 40 years, Spectrum KU has been the hub for queer education, support, community and activism at KU. They meet Thursdays at 7pm.

Queer Students of Color 

The Purpose of this group is to provide a space for queer people of color. In addition, we hope to build community and create visibility of queer people of color on this campus. Contact sgd@ku.edu for more information.  


Outlaws & Allies

OUTLaws & Allies is a group for those affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Law who identify as LGBTQIA+ and for allied classmates and faculty who support their LGBTQIA+ colleagues. Outlaws & Allies hosts various events throughout the year and even celebrate pride during their annual Thanksgiving dinner!


Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) is a national society dedicated to educating and fostering leadership for LGBTQA communities in the STEM fields. oSTEM’s mission is (a) To educate, empower, and engage a diverse community; (b) To identify, address, and advocate for the needs of LGBTQA students in the STEM fields; and (c) Fulfill these needs through mentorship connections, networking opportunities, strategic collaborations, and professional/leadership development. oSTEM envisions a world where all members of the STEM community can pursue their work in a safe and supportive environment that celebrates their contributions and differences.
