Biography

Jonathan May (he/they) is the Graduate Assistant for the Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity. He is a graduate student here at KU, currently working towards a Master of Science in Education (MSE) in Higher Education Administration. Hailing from northern Illinois, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago. While attending school in Chicago, Jonathan conducted scholarly research on LGBTQ issues and how they relate to both psychology and human geography. Having found sanctuary in higher education, he wanted to ensure that other queer people like him are also able to find sanctuary in higher education. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys swimming, listening to music, and caring for his pet ball python named Kiara.
